I am unclear how it works if you are a typical contract attorney - i.e. one that utilizes a handful of agencies. I am a 3L at a TTT school, and I believe my (near) future job prospects will be limited to document review. So my questions are: can you have more than one 401k at a time? (could you theoretically have a 401k at each agency?), if so, how much can you put in each one - is it a cumulative total, or can you save the maximum amount in EACH 401k, also - I know solo prop's can make their own 401ks...is that true for contract workers too?
